Question, if I have a existing gallery forum.
And decide to change the settings:
Thumbnail image max width/height in pixels.
Medium image max width/height in pixels.
Is there a way to do this and change the existing uploaded images.
For example I changed the:
Thumbnail image max width/height in pixels.
From 125 to 150 and it did not appear to make any impact to the gallery forum on existing posts.

Any extra steps other than re-upload a image?

Sounds like the ideas for a new content rebuilder

I was thinking the same.
But this might get a little convoluted. Since initially when posting three file sizes are generated and stored on the server.
But that is for future changes.

Other that re-posting all over again.

What other options currently?
This site is using gd2

assuming the largest size is ok, then you can generate the medium and thumbs to new sizes

you wouldn't want to make the largest size larger, however wink

You are talking geek to the idiots again.

I don't see a way to do this with existing tools.

Yes for this example I wish to rebuild the images placed in thumbs and medium only not full.

For example I used the existing 125PX default for thumbs and I wish to change the existing thumbs to 150PX.
I changed the cp settings. But of course it did not go back and rebuild existing gallery post files.

Without running a script for each and every file one at a time. How do you do it?

If it is complicated then it might be easier to just delete and start over for certain posts.

The reason i brought this up is some use the gallery forum for posting images to use on the site. Somewhat of a ftp upload server to grab from.
