Hi everyone I already have a UBB forum which has been successful online for about 12 years. Now I want to create a musician's forum. But I need to know if I'll be able to allow my members to upload and download audio files. Thanks!

Why not? I would think after allowing the extensions for uploads. The real issue would be file size limitations by your host. For example mp3 works fine once you allow that extension. But for me one song is 6Mb. Could also be a big issue with file storage.

I would recommend that you force users to use mp3's to conserve on space but they will most certainly take up quite a bit of storage and bandwidth on your server.
You will need to be sure that the php maximum execution time is set long enough to allow an upload to the server and that the upload limit is setup to allow your larger than normal upload (12mb or so)

I would recommend you use a host with a subdomain for example "download.yourmusicianforum.com" and setup file limit size(10-15mb).
