i cant seem to find were in my cp to allow members to reply to a global announcement. is there a way?

I think that you would be able to set the permissions in the group setting... somewhere says.. (or similar)
Can create global announcement Can respond to global announcement Can see global announcements
Just set the group that you want to be able to reply to 1... but set create global to 0 if you don't want them to be able to make them just reply.
I have never had a need to do this, however thinking about the present CP that would be what I would look for.

Ok I am only half correct... it only shows can create global announcements....or not.
I know here and on my forum boards.. when I create a global I add a link to a place for people to respond in the regular forum.

You can't; it's not setup to allow replies (which, in my opinion, makes the feature worthless).

Hint: v7.6 should make this issue a moot point. As well as other special features that don't adhere to the normal permission settings.
