I recently created a new forum and have been using the "move/merge" feature to move 52 topics/threads that are located in another forum into the new one. All has gone well for some 20+ threads but something happened on the last one that was moved.
The move was successful, but it isn't showing in the new forum. However, if I do a search for the thread, it is found along with all the replies in the results and they can then be viewed by clicking on the links.
Sooooo, where is this missing thread? Or better, how can I get it to show up in the new forum where it was moved?
TIA

Maybe check group permissions for those threads make sure they are "Can See Thread"? Not sure otherwise The person moving the 52 threads to the new forum is an Administrator. As stated initially, about 20 have been moved so far without any problem whatsoever. But the last one moved disappeared; it doesn't show in the forum, but it can be accessed by using the Search feature. And, according to the search results it IS in the new forum.

Sorry the bud... I am unsure about what it is then unless it got placed as a subforum for another one, or maybe the permissions for this particular one is messed up somehow. Maybe have to wait for someone with more knowledge then Mkae sure the "weight" of the forum is listed.. i.e. set at 6 (if you forget to set that it won't show) Dunny

There have been some bugs moving threads based on options used. Something SD was looking into for version 7.6 bug fixes. This has never happened to me but others have reported it. I don't know if the content re builders will fix it. But maybe it is worth trying.

Thanks Ruben for the reply. Given that we have run into this "glitch", methinks we would be wise to forego any further moving of threads until the clandestine update is released. There is another dedicated forum with 150+ threads which need to be moved into the new forum and I simply don't want to risk losing those too.

Try the content rebulders; they're there to rebuild items that can otherwise be out of sync.
