I created a new forum (sub) which has a permanent, set number of threads; i.e., no replies, etc. So to make sure that all the threads are always visible, I changed the "Default Topic View (Days):" option in Control Panel>Forum Management>Forum name>Details" to "Show All Threads".

The problem is that value isn't being accepted. I was able to change the value to "Show All Threads" in the main forum of which this subforum is a part of. When you view this subforum that value shows "In the last 6 months". I've tried several of the other values but it won't change. Running some of the items in "Content Rebuilder" and "Clear Cache" had no effect either.

Can someone tell me whether I am not understanding what this feature does or if there is a legitimate problem that needs to be resolved? IF it is the latter, how can it be rectified?

Humm
Not sure where to start on this item.
I see you have a quotes sub forum, for me listed default is three months.
Possibly could be a cache issue.
Meaning using the control panel to clear cache may not be enough.
It could also be your browser.
Or in some cases people have had to manually delete all files in the cache folder except for the html files and then use the clear cache in the control panel.

1. That was the wrong forum you were looking at. Those were the items which were moved to a new forum/sub-forum. We left them in the forum you browsed as a backup until they were all moved.

2. The issue is resolved. Why? [Linked Image from the-highway.com] We were viewing that new forum with 4 different browsers on 3 different machines and the results were the same even after deleting the TIFs. However, this afternoon, I went back and behold.... the "Default Topic View (Days)" was displayed correctly; "From All Dates". [Linked Image from the-highway.com]

Issue: RESOLVED!
Case: CLOSED

Thanks for trying to help. grin
