I have a picture gallery on my board and posted a few pictures before, but now it's not working. As far as I know, none of the settings got changed. Any ideas??

Error message? Url to gallery forum? UBB version? Changed hosts or host changed your server?

I don't receive an error message at all. When I try to upload/add a photo, it lets me add a file, but no picture shows up. My Dh said the pictures go to the temp folder. I have version 7.5.6p2 We have not changed hosts or server.

Humm, Somebody else recently had a similar problem. Meaning it was sent to a temp folder. I don't recall the resolution though. If it was operator error or what. Let me try a search.

Well I can't seem to find the post currently. So anyway. First item to check is: Control Panel » Permission Checks You should have a OK on all folders. If not then you need to follow the install docs and correct the file folder permissions via say FTP. For your issue look for anything that starts with Gallery.
Second item would be what graphics library you are using. GD2 is usually safe because it is preinstalled with PHP. If you are using ImageMagick then maybe the host changed the location. So I would change to GD2 to test. GOTO: Control Panel » Gallery Settings What Graphics Library do you want to use? Elect GD2 and save
That would be a start.
BTW, It would be nice to have a URL to the forum in question.

We are using the GD2 graphics library. We did change a permission setting in another gallery forum and now the pictures upload and show properly. Thanks for the help!

I had the same problem. See topic: https://www.ubbcentral.com/forums/u..._5_6p2_Gallery_permissions_we#Post249474Seems to me that something in p2 is changing the permission on its own. I don't think it is a coincidence that this happens also to other people. Just a thought, couldn't this be a hacking attempt, by uploading malicious images to the galleries?

One of my galleries recently changed some permissions on its own.

p2 didn't have any code changes for the filemanager or gallery uploader, that i know of.
it was solely ( p1 and p2 ) changes to security for validating the $user properly ( forcing user_id to integer )..
