I need to change my Avatar directory.

I can't for the life of me remember where this is located in the admin CP, so I'm thinking it may have been set at installation. Is that correct?

If I change the directory to a different location (via config.inc.php) will I need to do any post rebuilding? Or does config.inc take care of everything?

Thanks.

After you change it via the config.inc.php you need to run a db command to update the database if you are moving the avatars from old dir to new.

Something like this

SQL Query
UPDATE ubbt_USER_PROFILE SET USER_AVATAR = replace(USER_AVATAR, 'http://www.yoursite.com/path_to/images/', 'http://www.yoursite.com/path_to/images/')

I used this when I switched my site to a new domain a few years back.

ha ha thanks mate. Funnily enough, I ran that very command a few hours ago after moving my old UBBclassic avatar directory.

It didn't occur to me to do the same thing for threads as I thought it would be controlled via the config file.

Now then, looking at the Attachment Storage Directory: and presumably ubbt_FILES, I don't think it works the same way.

Would altering the location under Feature settings || Attachments be enough?

Just in case somebody is wondering...

It turns out that to move the attachments directory, all you need to do is alter the location under Feature settings || Attachments.

..and move the directory of course. wink

Is there a setting to keep users from posting links until they have reached a certain post threshold?

Users with less then 10 posts cannot post a link, for instance.

Technically,no!
At least not in stock code.
They could just manually type say msn.com or http://www.msn.com

You can limit their ability to use certain features like ubb code, signatures, attachments. etc. Or moderate their posts until they reach a certain post count and then they are automatically promoted to a group that is not required to be moderated.
