I searched before posting this, but didn't seem to find or search the right verbage.

I have a wannabe member of my forums emailed saying he tried to register a user name and password, but the board said the password was taken. After trying afew more with the same results, he entered crazy random letters and numbers that really would not have been taken -yet the board said they were. After I got the email, I went in and registered under and easy User name with my secondhand email address and it worked.

Any idea why it wouldn't accept anything form this person, and what he/we could do about it?

Thank you.

Just a guess but part of the registration process is usually a required unique email address.
Probably the error message needs to be improved on. Which would be in the language files.

So the question would be is the users email address already used by somebody else?
