I ran a test import from Classic to V7 B2 importer v4
last night and i was impressed.

Afew thing's ive noticed you may
want to be aware of?

Hidden Forums (not visible) classic forum option.
When you import they become visible.
So you need to check your group options
and make the no access to members users Guests.
Then they will behave as Hidden

• Censor List EMPTY
• POST ICONS - V7 Default Only
• HEADER INSERTS - Empty
• NO Graemlin Shortcuts (Your own)
  will import your list but short cut keys are blank.
• OLD_FORUM_6 (forum group settings)
  i found 1 other admin attached to this group so
  i just deleted that group.
• INTERNAL FORUM LINKS TO TOPIC OLD LINKS?
  All interal links within your forums still
  point to the old foums.
  I tried a test post to see if that sync them,
  but there still pointing over to old forum.
• AVATAR SIZE = 100 X 67
  I had to adjust my avatar size,
  as i think my settings above was a custom size.
• Avatars
  Only V7 Stock

So i would be prepared
to sort the above after your import.

Classic Forums = 130706 Posts ~ 1000 members 9749 Topics

= 2hrs to import

Its really easy to use and flies along,
i was buzzing watching it go.

It froze after 1hr in, so i used my back button,
and it just continued on

Hope this helps someone.

But i would recomend a test import first.

I think i may have goofed
with the interal links issue.

just waiting for more info

Did passwords import correctly? I remember an upgrade that involved a MySQL change of some sort that hashed the passwords differently and forced us to reset them all.

as there is only me flying around,
my user & password worked fine.

Just to add that my import
jumped my MYSQL 5 Database to 125mb in total.

Now i'm in a fix,
as my ISP only allows Database sizes of 100mb.

I'm speaking to them again in the morning,
its still running so i may get away with it (Fingers Crossed).
