Hello Ladies and Gents,
We recently upgraded our forum from UBB.classic ( ) to Threads version 7.5.6p2. This was between Christmas and New Years. Before doing the actual upgrade I noticed that 7.5.7 was released and decided to test that one out. It didn't go so well. When I tried doing a clean install of 7.5.7, I got database errors while it was creating the tables (sorry, but I can't remember what they were). This happened three times in a row. So I tried installing 7.5.6p2 (which went fine) and then updating that install to 7.5.7. The update seemed to go fine, but afterwards I couldn't stay logged in under any user name. Any ideas on what would cause such an issue?

Do you have a custom cookie prefix set? If no, i'd recommend setting one (for security) which will invalidate everyone's login cookie and will force new ones once they log back in.

Another option if you don't want to use a cookie prefix, would be to have users experiencing this error go to the "Cookies" section of the "My Stuff" panel and clear their cookies from there.

OK - thanks, Gizmo. We're cloning the forum into a test directory. I will do as you suggest when I try to upgrade the test forum, if there are still issues.

Also, as Bjab pointed out in another thread addressing the same issue, not all file changes are reflected in the upgrade_changes.txt:

I had the same problem myself, but adding the new changes in libs/html.inc.php fixed it for me.
