First off... I'm computer` illiterate` crazy
And only help to moderate a site powered by
UBB.threads. My question is:
What does this mean when it says
" forum administrators"

As in this error message
Quote
UBB Message
We encountered a problem.
The reason reported was
Database error only visible to
forum administrators
Please click back to return to the previous page
Makes sense to me that only those
with Administrator privileges can view the problem(s)?
that have occurred in the Database..correct ?
Are there others assigned with Administrator
privileges outside a site ,such as " UBB. Server Techs"
who might be looking at
solutions to fix a problem ?
Might be a dumb question confused
But I came here looking whistle
for a smart confused...uh wise wink answer grin
Best Regards ! smile

Yeah, your admin is going to need to go look at the mysql log to see what the issue is.

The reason you get a generic message is due to the actual error could display information not for public use.
Such as database connection info.Which could be a security risk.
If the admin of the site did the setup correctly they can log into the ubb control panel and view the actual error.

But usually the error means that the ubb could not connect to the database. For reasons such as the dbase server is offline. Or something changed in the dbase settings.

So if you have say a email contact with the site that would be best to contact them. In case they are not aware of the problem.

And the only people that have admin access would be whoever is the master admin that installed it. Unless that person has added others to be a admin.
