Is there a switch to stop people from deleting their shout posts comments after a reasonable editing time? or if not how are people banned from the shout box?

Well the way I create a shoutbox ban is I create a new group set the permissions to 0 for "Can use shout box" and then put those people in that group.

i do what Dunny does, but put a -1 in the perm. that way i don't have to remember to remove them from 'Users' or other groups that have 1's, while they are in the banned group.

the -1 just overrides any plusses they have.

so only have to check/uncheck the 'shoutbox ban' group.
