UBB.threads PHP Forum Software Community Forums UBB.threads Version 7/8 Support Shout Box

Hi experts,

Can someone give me some advice on whether or not a Shout Box is helpful. I mean do the members tend to like it. I have noticed that the shout box is rather slow here (not necessarily bad).

My board may love it, but I predict there would be 15 to 30 "shouts" per day.

Plus, I have heard from hanging out here some that users will post questions there, which is discouraged.

Thanks.

Bert

It depends on the type of community really; on some it works and it works well, on others it sucks... And on some it's really not helpful (such as, oh I donno, a support community where users will try to get support there versus posting a thread and then they get peeved when it scrolls off and no one has helped them)

That's what I thought. Thanks.
