Well it would be in the language file to change the message. generic.php teaser_forum and or postlist.php teaser_forum and or generic.php NO_PROCEED3 Now to edit the displayed page. It probably is a template file so I don't know the url ,usually the url will give a hint.

I am not sure I would go this route but you already started with the menu bar. So using the reference of: http://www.nobsphotosuccess.com/openletterI would start with the template editor in the ubb control panel. Login.tpl and logout.tpl and not_right_bare.tpl and notright.tpl find the line that has <a href="{ubb url="ubb=newuser"}">{$lang.REG_ONE}</a>. and replace it with <a href="http://www.nobsphotosuccess.com/openletter/">{$lang.REG_ONE}</a>. I think that is all you have left to change. I am not sure how you accept registrations except for you manually add them to the ubb database. Again why not use the subscription feature built into UBB.. You still need to modify the language files for changing the message verbiage. Also you might consider completely closing the board from guests with the global values.

thanks Ruben...one quick question....that won't affect the page I send to them when they pay through clickbank will it? that page is: http://www.nobsphotosuccess.com/NoBsWorld/ubbthreads.php?ubb=newuserWhich obviously allows them to then register. Will it change that? thanks...Rob

The links should still work since all we do is change the link on what is clicked on. So the old original url links should still work. Meaning if somebody knew the url they could still bypass the whole enchalida.

thanks....that's ok....if anyone does find it, all accounts are manually approved. I mainly need the links to go to the info page, not to register here....thanks....Rob

it worked! thanks Ruben....ok, I have another question, while I have your attention. I've been moving content around the forum to make it more streamline and the content more accessible.
One thing, when I change the location of a thread, and link it to another thread for more streamlilning, the Display options now defaults to "Active in the last three months". If the members don't see that, and change it to "From all dates" they won't see all the content in that thread.
Weird. Again, only started seeing this lately as I started bringing in threads together...is it me? Do you think this can be fixed to default to "From all dates"...???Rob

There is a default topic view setting in the control panel. Control Panel » Forum Settings>> details. Per forum. So you need to do every forum ,I don't recall a global setting. But anyway check it for the forum in question.
Also using the "from all dates" puts more overhead on the server due to more posts to process.
Then the user can change it only temporally while viewing that forum. Meaning once they goto another forum and go back to the original forum it should goto the default setting again.

FYI, Home » Forums » General Discussion » NoBs Tee Vee Is visible for any guest. The first few are announcements from another forum but all the episode posts work for guests.

Meaning the announcements show in every forum but are probably posted in a forum that does not allow guests to view them.
