Hi,

A couple of quick questions, I've had a look, apologies if I've just missed these answers somewhere:

1) I've seen it mentioned around here a couple times that you can use an image tag in member titles? How is that done exactly, I've tried everything I can think of and all I get is the image code - Is that something that needs to be enabled somewhere? (if so, where?)

Oh, and 1a) Does that apply to only custom member titles, or to the post count titles as well? If the latter I think I might see about changing to a Star system for post count titles or something...

2) I've been experimenting a bit with group images. And while it looks quite sharp on the posts themselves:

They're not so good on the Forum topic list pages:

Since I don't see that happening here, I gather there is a way to turn the group images off on the topic list pages, but keep them enabled for the posts themselves. Would I be correct in guessing that would involve editing one of the template pages? If so which, and what do I change exactly.

BTW, please, if you have an answer to those, please make it at the "adminning for dummies level" - I don't actually have access to the template files or anything on the server, so I'm going to have to relay this through the board owner and see if he's amenable to having this changed, and the clearer the instructions, probably the better my chances.

Thanks.

1. goto the custom title field for the member and add:
Code
<img src="http://www.yoursite.com/image path/image.jpg" />
which only applies to the custom title which in my case is the ubb beta tester image.

Group image is again for me the ubb 10 year image. And also the M image. For the two groups I am in. Which the user needs to elect to display it in their my-stuff>edit profile

2. I have never seen it appear in a topic list.
Can we get a url to the site.

ROFL - apparently "everything I could think of" didn't include HTML, I was just sticking to UBBCode (and on reflection I may also have been attempting to do that with a non-privileged user) - DOH. Got that working now, awesome, thanks.

You won't have access to the particular forum where that screenshot above was taken - that's a hidden forum I set up for testing, but you'll be able to see the standard M and A icons in any forum section. (please note I may not be using the correct terms - I'm kinda new to all this...)

Okay without a lot of code research. The issue appears to be in the version 7.56p2 not the current version 7.5.7.
I don't see a option to turn it off for just topic lists in either versions.
But I enabled the group image for both 7.56p2 and 7.5.7, only 7.56p2 shows the group image in the topic list.
I can only assume it was a undocumented change in the new version for housekeeping reasons to streamline the bandwidth usage.

So bottom line is I assume it could be modified in the code for your version. Or upgrade to the current version.

Okay thanks, that's very helpful. I'll run upgrading past the owner. smile

In the meantime maybe someone will chime in on where the change was.
I did a quick search but have not found it yet.
Also I see it appears you already have a couple of mods, one for google and one to display the "See More" so they may be reserved in upgrading. But it is suggested to do so.
