I may have deleted my SQL Error file 7 or 8 months ago. (maybe). Don't really remember for sure.

But I've noticed that within my CP, the SQL Error list is always ZERO now. There is absolutely nothing there.

Do I need to create a new blank log file? If so, where and what name?

Thanks.

This is how to set it up:
goto Control Panel » Primary Settings
Select the logging tab.
Log MySQL Errors? Enable this
MySQL Error Log Storage Directory: enter a path if it is missing to a valid location. It will be like the Absolute PATH to Main Directory: from the Control Panel » DB, Paths & URLs

Then click on the click to test directory link.
If all is set you will get Test passed. Also it will write a file called like testfile.

Thanks Ruben... I had totally forgotten about that location.

So... I did everything and got the GREEN "Test Passed"... and the test.file was there, but it had a date of a month ago.

Still nothing shows up on the SQL Error page in the CP.

Do you know the exact name of your file that contains that error log?

The log file will be created and added to the path entered , One file per error.
But if you don't have any errors then there will not be a file.

I just so happen to have one error and of course 1 error file
20130901_mysql.log

Note the prefix is a date notation.
