It has only been a couple of days.
But I think the release is a success.
Yes there are a few hiccups.
A few were fixed and the member download zip file was updated.
And yes there is currently two other items(stopforumspam and edit post refresh) which have already been addressed with a manual fix but not included in the members area zip.

But overall I have seen it a lot worse in past years after a release with a lot more intensive beta testing.

So, so far I see this as a success.
Plus we got a couple of bones thrown at us.
Not all we were waiting on but a few.

So hopefully the next release will be very soon as promised with a few more enhancements. Such as the long awaited mobile theme.

I just "finished" upgrading... Did it in exactly an hour.... But I was being VERY cautious after losing my language files a couple of upgrades ago. :-)

Only one issue with my stuff:
ERROR: unable to write to $compile_dir

I changed the directory to 777 and it went away --- until I logged in. Then I saw two CUSTOM ISLANDS displaying the error. So I logged off, closed my browser and logged in again. That fixed it.

So far, so good....
YES, PROBABLY THE BEST/EASIEST UPGRADE THAT WE'VE EVER HAD.

yah, i don't expect a point release.

i just think i will fix the small things and then upload a new .zip after a week of users using it.

only reason for a p1 release is if there is a killer in there somewhere.

only real 'bug' right now is in html.inc.php ( fix supplied in that thread ) with $refresh and that isn't a show stopper.

the rest of the fixes are already in the members area.
