After editing a post, the following message appears: The thread has been modified. In a moment you will be automatically returned to the forum. There are also two links; Return to the forum | View your post The software never returns to either. Both of the links work fine. What am I missing?

This was a bug issue that was fixed with a refresh to the members area with no notation as such. it was fixed something like a week or so after the release. AS well as one other bug fix I can't recall at the moment. how long ago did you download the 7.5.8 version that you used? if it was a while back I would re-download the version and delete the one you have.

The date of the zip file is 12/5.
Can I just replace the affected files? I'd rather do that than take the site down and redo the upgrade.
I'll search for the bug and see what the fix involves.

That sounds like it is older than the fixes added. yes you can do that. But there were at least two bug fixes that were discussed. But unless you use beyond compare to make sure SD did not tweak a couple more. I would redo with out running upgrade.. just download the zip again and really just ftp the files over to the server like you are doing a upgrade. But you don't need to run the upgrade script again. just don't overwrite the files as noted for a upgrade like you did before.

Found the post. I replaced the libs/html.inc.php file and that fixed the problem. (Tested to confirm the fix.) SirDude mentions two others; header.tpl and adduser.inc.php. Were there more bugs fixed silently? The download still has a 11/29 date on it, but it's clearly different from the one I pulled on 12/5.

FYI, a LOT changed file wise from 7.5.8 and the 7.5.8 refresh...

That's BS. The release should have been yanked and reissued. Or a point release should have been released subsequent to the original release. Releasing updates to files silently is the worst thing a vendor can do to their customers. Now I have to redo three boards because UBB didn't bother to document the fact that they were fixing bugs after the release. Color me irritated.

Agree completely that it should have been released as 7.5.8.1 as UBB.Classic would have been ages ago, but the powers that be at this point don't; this is something you'd have to take up with "official staff" via the support area. BTW, this isn't the first time this has happened; there are several discussions on this around here somewhere.
