How does one add a JPG or GIF or PNG, whatever to a post using the Enter an image icon? This image would be on the computer, say the desktop. First, it asks for where it floats, then what URL to use. I know there is a gallery in the database (I think), but what do you put in the URL address to enter the image/picture, etc. in your post?
If you could be as detailed as possible, it would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Bert

Well, you need the URL to the picture (not the thread) so you'd right click the picture and choose "copy URL" or "copy image location" (however your browser words it) then paste that URL into the prompt from the forum; or just enter:

Thanks Gizmo. Sure, not the thread, but to the picture. I have read that in order to get the URL, I would need to right click the picture and choose "copy URL" or "copy image location" but my issue is I cannot find either of these when I right click on the picture. Am I choosing pictures that do not have the proper extensions, e.g. need jpg, png, etc.?
My understanding is that I click the icon, go to the picture, right click, choose copy URL or copy image location and put this in the URL box. Do, I always keep the http:// in the prefix of the URL? And, this is probably dumb but the pictures are never in Internet Explorer. Maybe that is the issue?

File Manger seems to be helpful, but it doesn't actually embed the picture, just the attachment.

Example, right click my avatar, you should see a copy image url, some type of wording that does the same function, it's up to whomever created your web browser what the wording says.

Thanks. Well, it worked then. Just doesn't work on our board. Have to go back and try. And, I only get copy. Just one word.

why aren't you using the inline image uploader? ( i put that code in as a mod to make it simple for your site )
you don't have to think about [img] tags at all..

Trust me, I would love to. I upgraded the board, and it kind of went with it. I tried to put it back, but it isn't as functional.
