I'm at a loss here. My webhost (ASO) migrated us shared users to another server. Different state, but same time zone (ET). Ever since, the clock has been wrong -- or, UBB is reading the time wrong.

In CP, it says "Unadjusted Server Time: 03/31/14 10:08 PM" which is +4 hours from now. They assured me more than once that the server is correct, Eastern Time, same zone as I'm in.

Check with forum settings or support or community please.

So of course I set up a -4 offset so the posts would display the correct time. But I have a custom portal island that includes {$today_date} -- and that time is +4 hours ahead!

I don't get it... does anyone have any clues? How can UBB misinterpret the server time? Again, this happened as soon as the server was migrated to another. confused

Do you have something in your php.ini. That sets a timezone.
UBB just reads the time.

Another way to check is in UBB CP.
elect php info.
There are several fields that display the time and date.
It will tell you your timezone as well.

Thanks for the reply, but not sure what "elect php info" means?

As I said, nothing on my end changed at all! They migrated, and poof!, issue started.

Hi jgeoff smile
I suspect that may be a typo (of the variety I am known to make... wink ).

Select PHP info from the very bottom of your admin cp menu.
