We use the custom island inserts to sell advertising, which turned out to be both good and bad. Although we offer 40 different forums there are only seven that interest our advertisers, and for piano manufacturers there is only one. When we get requests from two or more advertisers I try to make it look like separate ads, but it isn't enough for them. (see ex: http://www.pianoworld.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/2478859/ ) Does anyone know if there is any way to create an additional Custom Island Insert that would show up separately within a given topic? It could even be in a different spot (say between the 3rd and 4th post of a topic). As always any help is much appreciated. Best, Frank B.

Create individual custom islands and select them as adverts between post 1 & 2 in forum settings. Basically you can create any you want on that principle.
I have +40 individual custom islands for each forum between post 1 and 2. the advantage is after the long slog of creating them is you can still have google and your paid advertiser, or no google, just depends what your charging for a selection.
Sorry not got the time to hunt out the correct places in the forum settings.
hope that helps.

Thanks Mark S,
I have plenty of custom islands (98 so far). The issue is not being able to use more than one in a given forum at the same time.
In other words, I'm hoping to be able to introduce two or more custom island inserts in a single forum.
Best,
Frank B.

It is entirely possible, but not through stock; you can see an example of this here whereby the post is inserted between the last two posts on a page (minus the last page if it has not reached the total posts perpage, logic I have not yet worked on).

Yes, that's what I'm looking for Gizmo, although I'd need the additional ad(s) to be nearer the top because these are paying advertisers who want position. If this is something you can help with, we should talk. All the Best, Frank B. Piano World

Go ahead and contact me privately with some information; how many ads, what position, if they'd all be using the standard ad island or if they'd need separate ones (an example of just reusing the island would be if you where calling an ad manager in the ad island and it rotated ads; we just use google adsense so i just call the same island).
