What ever happened to Fusion BB? I actually had a license for it once upon a time, but it seems to have disappeared. Anyone know it's fate?

their main url tells the story. http://fusionbb.com/the software didnt get much/any support past 2009 and there wasnt an update for several years. post questions went unanswered. basically, visit the url on waybackmachine and youll find that for 2013, many of the most recent posts were from 4 years prior, 2009.

That's too bad. There were some things about it I liked. I still have the download around here somewhere.

you can download it from the link i posted. but everything unique about it, was from 2007. a lot of things have changed on the internet over the past 10 years. also, since ubbfusion was a rip of UBB.threads v6 code, you'd technically be going backwards.
in addition, im not sure how well fbb works with the current php5x versions, since its rather dated.
anyways, the download of its most current version is on the link i posted above.

Oh, I have no intention of using it, I'm quite happy with to software I'm using, but I remember when Fusion first came out I know a lot of folks had high hopes. Oh well, such is the digital world.

BUT, if you do decide to install it and find something unique and useful, or something that is not already part of the current UBB.threads code, share your findings with us. someone here can work on incorporating it, making UBB.threads a better package.
Just remember, that fbb does not have all the security patches that ubbt currently has. fbb is also lacking in any sort of spam protection.

It was working fine. We have however just migrated our last forum out of Fusionbb as it was getting dated & because it was likely to fail eventually on future versions. I was one of the last (non-tech) admins on their site when it closed. Mostly deleting spam as it was so quiet! The major feature for us was the gallery feature. It didn't sit outside of the main forum. It was totally integrated. You could turn a forum into a gallery & visa versa very easily. Posts could be moved from forum to gallery & v.v. too.
