Name: VNC.Winter
By: Gizmo (James at VNC Web Design & Development)
Demo: As 7.3 was having an issue with the preview URL, I've attached "VNCWinterDemo.jpg" below.
Description: This is a simple "Winter" theme, blues and whites (snow anyone?).
Changes:
I've taken and updated the VNC.Winter theme for compatibility in UBB.threads 7.2+ and 7.3a.

The largest change you'll notice are that I've added the hovering in that most of my other themes use (if you don't like them, remove them from the "Extra CSS" section); this includes the pagination section (only in 7.3+).

Attached Files
VNC.Winter v2.zip (376 downloads)

Thanks Gizmo - the demo is not showing the theme - I had to login to see the theme with snow flakes etc.

That is very odd... becuase it just grabs the stylesheet, and it has the paths set to the images in the sheet... weird

When I clicked on the original link, I actually changed the number to 6,7,9,5 etc., and viewed the same blue stylesheet (which I assume is your default)

That is because you are not logged in (as per my earlier reply)

The stylesheet preview is obviously not working for those not logged in.

(I am assuming you are basing your comments on this the preview link)

Hmm... maybe it is because I do not have these images in default-dark - should that be standard - not sure.

You can see it at http://www.fansfocus.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=previewskin&skin=6

Although I have not enabled it yet, as the top looks a bit off when the breadcrumbs scrolls to a second line.

Looks good on your forum Ian. Is the log-in fields near the breadcrumbs a hack? I think that should be a standard option. cool

mine wasn't for review.. it was just an example of a working, non-logged in theme showing up as stylepreview wink

Yes - I modified the header to have a login there - makes much more sense to me. I tried to match it with the clock on the other side smile

However as you can tell, I am NOT a style expert LOL

as for ian's issue with the images; this theme only includes images it uses for the design, the others it just uses default...

Due to the issue with the previewurl with non-logged in users on 7.3, I've attached vncwinterdemo.jpg to my initial posting.

I like the Winter Theme and have been using it for some time now. I like the hovering too!

How do I get the Style Change dropdown form at the bottom of this style?

Once 'Winter' style is selected there's no way to get out of it from that page

That style is for a older version.
It happens all the time when using a style designed for a older version than what you currently use.

Possibly you need to review the style in the editor and see if any css tag is missing.
if it is, there is a link to copy default to that item
Using view source I see the form tag is there. You just can't find it.

The other possibility is the table containing the background image is fixed for that bottom footer is to small for the drop down box to appear. Again this is a style setting.

Look in the "Extras" section and make sure there isn't any "display:none;" references in the style editor; my sites always disabled that and it may have come through on a free theme.
