I have somehow deleted a users thread by removing one of the posts to Mod storage, editing it and then moving it back. I then decided to move that post BACK TO moderators storage. That post is still in storage but the entire thread disappeared! I checked the log and it only showed that this post was edited and moved. It did not show that the thread was deleted.

My question is: a) what did I do wrong and b) can I retrieve that thread? thanks!

Also, when I tried to find the thread by putting it's URL in the browser bar it told me:

We could not locate the page you are requesting to view.

Return to the previous page or use search if you are looking for something specific.

Is mod storage another forum.?
I assume you meant moving not removing..
What method did you use to move it?
Or did you use delete?
But any way if there were replys to that post did you move all of them along with the post in question?
If the post was in the middle of a thread that may be why it did what it did.

If you just needed to edit the post , You should have done it where it was to begin with.

It sounds like the complete thread is non recoverable now.

You can't use the original post url because you moved it.
You need to use the new URL where it is now located.

Hi Ruben, you are correct, I moved the post to a hidden forum called Moderators storage using the "move/merge" tool. I didn't delete it. I have learned my lesson about editing the post where it exists. i typically do that, but intended to move it entirely and changed my mind and just edited and moved back to the thread. I just wondered if I could recover the thread, but it sounds like I cannot. Thanks for the post.
