new to ubb.threads and helping a site out. I was looking through the database to compare it to other forum softwares I've used in the past and was wondering how ubb.threads stores attachments. I didn't see any attachment tables in the database.
thanks!

UBB.threads stores file information within the ubbt_FILES database table. All of the expected items; ID, FILENAME, POSTID, DOWNLOADS, ADD_TIME, TYPE, SIZE, DESCRIPTION, MD5, DIR, USER, etc.

Hi all,
Where and how does ubb.threads store the attachments in 7.6.0?
I'm tying to clean up a very old forum that I think has used a few different forum software over the years.
Thanks!

I have an /uploads folder in my doc root that has tons of folders inside of it: 00001 00003 00004 etc., etc.
I assume these are attachments but unsure. If not, what are they?

The upload folder will vary from install to install; take a look in the Control Panel for your specific location (CP -> Master Settings -> Features -> Attachments Tab).

If you see sub folder it doesn't comes from ubb.threads. Attachments are stored in one folder only and Gizmo already describes how to find it. But if this directory the place for gallery pictures you see subfolders by number. This number is the ID of the gallery forum inside ubb.threads.
The folder ubb.threads/uploads is clean on my site. I setup a attachment folder outside the ubb.thread basedir long time ago. Maybe newer installations use this folder as default attachment folder. In the attachment folder files will be stored by number only with newer versions of ubb.threads. Old versions (< 7.6.x ?) store it by number, followed by filename.
