It'd require a significant amount of recoding to allow for pts; plus, are you sure you want to be hosting content to users that can't be monitored? Seems that users wanting to share images in PT should be adding images with [img] tags vs allowing unmoderated content...

if you offload the image to a public site, you can just select in the full editor to post a image url.
