How is the latest version and spam blocking ?

Depending on your version, Stop Forum Spam has been a built in feature for some time. Additionally, more recent versions are mobile capable and support newer builds of PHP.

Already have a suggestion for Galleries. allow a person to select a picture and start a blog around that picture and topic directly from the gallery

Galleries have been reworked several times; even an upcoming change in v7.7.5.

And yes, still a style editor; some people just don't get raw CSS lol.

You'll want to only allow someone to post one photo in the gallery forum then; the comments are for the overall album and not on an individual photo basis.

aye ok.. I guess Blog format available. I basically wanted to post photo's and if someone wanted to blog about one of them they could click on that photo. it becomes the photo / topic of the blog and they can start writing etc.. It's just a little different format..

Awesome thanks Issac. I think I was in the 6.X.X time frame said my last license expired in 2006. I will check everything out.. new hobbies new forums haha..

I think I recognize all those names in the credits over the years.. I technically started back in the early 2000's like 2001 etc if I remember right. it was the ubbthreads time frame. I have been through the purchase/mergers etc.. back in the day too.

One caveat for you is old styles you used to use will need to be updated.
This can be done from the member area where all the old stock styles per version have been updated for the current version that you can download.
But other old custom styles will need to be revisited in the style editor due to the newer UBB version is using css tags that were not in the older versions.
It should not be that difficult for someone like you but it does exist.

As a long time user myself of UBB I can say it has become a great product again. with current hosting standards.
Upgrades and install are almost %100 bug free now as well as Gizmo has developed a pre UBB install test script.
And the Stop Forum Spam add-on is now stock. As well has been upgraded to detect not just new registrations but existing members also.

Kudos to Isaac and Gizmo.

Animated avatars are probably not needed on a support forum. It makes it really hard to post support replies (trouble-shooting) when your animated avatar keeps jumping out, saying "LOOK AT ME!!! LOOK AT ME!!! LOOK AT ME!!!"

I write this as I search the firefox/chrome repository for an extension to selectively block animated gifs.

Yes I have done that to turn off the animated annoying gif avatars here. Was a few here in the past like the wavy arms one....
