In ver 7.7.5 How can I remove (or change) the ShoutChat Comment Guidelines?

We haven't had any problems in that area and I don't want to give new visitors the idea that we have issues with that.

Two ways, depending on what you want done

Per each style you have available to your forum. From within the Control Panel > Style Editor, add the following to the EXTRAS section of the style you want it hidden from

If you want it changed or completely removed from your forum, edit it the same way that you would normally edit any other language item.
1/ GO TO Control Panel > Languages > Language Editor
2/ SELECT the Search / Edit Language Strings tab
3/ SEARCH for "Comment Guidelines" as the Search String
4/ CLICK EDIT next to "SHOUT_INTRO" and then edit or remove it as you desire.

Thanks for the quick reply. When I do the search I get an error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '<', expecting end of file in ...forums/languages/english/faq.php on line 46

That means the languages/english/faq.php file on your server is corrupted/broken. It can be corrected by re-downloading the ubbthreads zip archive, and then replacing the corrupted one on your server with the good one from inside the that zip archive.
