I tried to purge the admin logs, but it doesn't seem to be working.
I set the purge period to 60 days and clicked on the Purge button. This is the result:

SQL error logs can be deleted individually.

These are the mysql log files.

Has anyone else seen this problem?

I have not done this in a few versions
But look at the db tables
Names that end with log
Empty them
Should be like two of them but I would double check

Thanks, Rueben. I've already done that. But I don't understand why the purge isn't working. I used the exact same mysql query to delete the files manually. Maybe I'll try to take a closer look when I get time.

From server issues changing php and sql versions
Have you double checked your php
max_input_vars
max_input_time
max_execution_time

To make sure they did not get reset to a small value

They did get reset. I had to change several values that were reverted to the default. Compounding the problem was that I was editing /etc/php.ini when AlmaLinux puts the actual file in /etc/opt/remi/php83/php.ini. I discovered that when I looked carefully at the php info page after my edits had no effect at all.

Why some linux versions insist on putting things in non-standard places is a question I'd like answered. But I'm sure some techs will have a logical explanation for ignoring decades of wisdom.
