I can't find any current (since 2017) discussion about using PostgreSQL instead of mySQL. I just received an email from ibm saying ...

Quote
ibm Cloud is announcing the End of Service/withdrawal of MySQL for Linux (MySQL 8.0) starting 30th April 2026 on all Classic Bare Metal and Classic VSI Server types due to the vendor’s end-of-support announcement.

What the MySQL for Linux Deprecation Means for You and key dates:
• MySQL for Linux will be removed from the ibm Cloud Classic Catalog on 30th April 2026, preventing new deployments in new servers.
• MySQL for Linux will no longer receive any support, security updates or bug fixes after 30th April 2026, however customers can keep using the EOS Software at their own risk.

I can install PostgreSQL on my RedHat Linux Plesk system. Will the forum software run on that? If so, what is the migration process?

Thanks.
