UBB.threads PHP Forum Software Community Forums Resources and Customizing How Do I? New install of v8 doesn't allow me to login

- I've reinstalling fresh v8.0 including a new db. Install when flawlessly (almost)
- during install step 7 or 8 asked me to create an admin account. I did with the login of admin (maybe I should not have used that name)
- The board came up and I tried to log in withe the credentials I created and it will not except them.
- I've installed multiple times and always get the same error, I'm sure I'm missing something easy

Any help please would be greatly appreciated

During a fresh install the first created user should be the admin user, you should be able to login with the login name or the email address of the user; if not then I'd recommend re-running the install script after clearing the database as you have an empty forum. If you're trying to redo the install please always start with an empty database.

Be sure you're not using capital letters, and that you're trying to login with the login name or email address and not the display name.

Its obviously worked before as you had a fully running install that you had edited the script files. We do not support modded forums as we have no clue as to what you could have modified.

This is a user to user forum, you can obtain official support from the support desk should you need hands on support.

I registered an account but it won't let me login, it's acting like its on a CDN which is caching the pages on the server; please email your host to see if a Content Delivery Network is in place.

At this point, I'm going to have to suggest the Support Desk to get you on your way, for whatever reason the server is not acting as expected with the script files.

I called support at my service provider IONOS and they said there is no CDN in place.
