What should be the correct database entry for someone who has not provided their DOB?

Although the majority of times I see "0" in the database I still have thousands of entries that show "//" and furthermore there is no cut-off period (for instance users up to user id x...) after which one method would follow the other.

So for instance users 4000, 4001, 4006, 4007 are showing "0" but 4002, 4003, 4004, 4005 are showing"//" in the database. What is the correct entry?

That field default for USER_BIRTHDAY is a NULL, so a blank value should be NULL. A filled in date would be mm/dd/yyyy.

Thanks, just updated all "//" entries to "0" to keep everything uniform.

Just a hunch that the difference was probably caused by so many version changes over the years as originally our forums started with UBB Classic before moving to Threads...

0 isn't null, it's a value of 0; you can clean your database a bit to set empty fields that are null to null:
