Hello,

I run UBBthreads 8.0.1 and PHP 8.3.31
Today when I came home my website was down.
Login to my host and the server was shut. I asked for it to be restarted and the server was restarted and the website came on but the Britbike forum was a white screen only.
https://www.britbike.com/forums/
I can see that it happened a lot of things in the error_log file
I can see that there has been some issues the last days but here the first and last log of today,
Please advise
PSI cannot access the forum and not the admin cp as well

Your database is corrupt, you need to either use PHPMyAdmin to try and repair it, or do the repair through the command line with myisamchk -r tablename

Its more a web hosting issue than a forum issue

Make sure that you're not coming up on any hard space or memory issues on the machine.

I opened PHPMyAdmin thru cPanel and noticed that the table ubbt_POSTS was "in use" the language was in Swedish so I translate it to "in use" and when I was trying to change it to english then it locked and the screen became white.
My guess is that I was blocked cause I cannot open anything right now.

I will post your answer to the host. If I cannot repair it then is the best way to use a backup in order to align everything?
I am doing an incremental back up everyday. Should one go back and restore the whole website to the lates backup?
This is not in my comfort zone

I managed to login and the ubbt_posts table reads in use and I ticked the box for the table and repair but it said

Error in processing request
Error text: error (rejected)
It seems that the connection to server has been lost. Please check your network connectivity and server status.

Then I ticked the box for the table again and analyze table it said it was updated. I then clicked to reload the database in PHPMyAdmin and I noticed that the ubbt_post read 1.3 GiB and voila the forum showed again and I can access admin CP.
The forum admonished SQL error log is empty!?!? but the forum show lots of errors..

Anyway it's passed midnight here and I thank you for your assistance 🙏

The UBB.threads SQL error log holds queries that fail, your system error logs will hold errors from connection issues

Giz, The host said following

How to prevent this in future:
Quote
1. Consider converting your forum tables from MyISAM to InnoDB - InnoDB is much more crash-resistant and recovers automatically after unclean shutdowns
2. Set up a regular MySQL backup so you always have a clean copy to restore from
3. You can add a weekly repair job by adding to cron:

About item 1, is this possible to do with a UBBthreads forum? from MyISAM to InnoDB or is the forum software programmed to use MyISAM only?
As you know I don't much about this..😅
