UBB.threads PHP Forum Software Community Forums UBB.threads 6 Version 6 Support Need suggestions on how to make certain threads "stand out"

I run a message board (6.2)on a fansite for an actress. Lately, she's taken to coming by the board to post, and I'd like a way to flag those threads so casual readers or passersby can jump straight to threads she's posted in, or posts she's written (either is fine). What features are in UBBThreads that would allow me to "accentuate" a particular post or thread? I know there's the "rating" feature, but that loses some of its effectiveness because it get used fairly often.

Is there any other way I can mark a thread, such as with a special icon or something added after the fact? I'm completely open to suggestions, as there are probably tons of features in UBBT 6.2 that I'm not aware of.

You could add a message icon to images/icons.

The drawback is that anyone would be able to use it, unless you add a hack that only allows certain people to select it, or that automatically selects that icon when that person posts.

I love the idea of having a particular, unique icon show up when she posts. Is this a hack which is available, or is it just theoretical?

Theoretical. LOL But very possible.

You also could create a search link and place it on your site that would pull up all of her posts.

Drop by www.threadsdev.com and you might be able to get someone to undertake this for you, or there are developers for hire there if there's no volunteer takers. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="images/icons/wink.gif" />
