So, after I finally got everything up and running I decided to follow some of the advised safety precautions. My hosts, however, aren't the sharpest tools in the shed and managed to put the wrong password for the user of the database... I now get this message:

And I can't login to change it and they can't seem to either. Please advise.

You should be able to edit the password of the database offline in the config.inc.php, then re-upload it to your server.

If you're not logged in as Admin, you can't edit it online.

Nope, is that the only file that should need editing? It doesn't seem to work.

The error looks to be an error with the DATABASE username and password.

The only place that is stored is inside the config.inc.php

Make sure that you know the correct database username and password, and that they are correct inside the config.inc.php file.

The user has not been added to MySQL.
The user doesn't have a password assigned at the MySQL (server) end.
The user doesn't have the correct MySQL grants.

Now it's even more strange. I uploaded config.inc.php with the updates but even when I clear cookies and refresh it still gives me the error with the old username.
