As we progress through the beta's Myself and many of my site visitors are getting excited about 7.0 Has anybody with a busy UBB Classic site taken the big plunge and imported to the new Threads. I have 5000+ members, 200,000 or so posts in 40+ forums. Trying to decide how long to wait. It looks like many of the bugs are squished now from what I am reading. Any words of wisdom from those who have made the jump would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Mike Wilson Bowl-Tech Inc.

Do a test import. This way you will iron out any bugs or changes you may need to make.
I done a test import worked fine. 2hrs conversion.
Problem Only to find that the mysql database finished at 125mb. My soon to be EX web host limited sql at 100mb.
So im now able to move webhost without finding out on the day you think your going to move.
Post Icons This may not be relevant to you. But i changed my classic post icons more as a prefrence of order and styles.
Now i have all my "Attenttion" posticons laughing after the import.
I will have to make a query to update them too look relevant again.
Do a test import... It takes time, but worth it to tweak things. Iron out problems.
And to tweak the control panel settings as there are somthings that dont come over.
Hope that helps

I'm thinking maybe you were asking if you should do a switch yet. I would hold off to at least beta 4 as Rick has done a lot of updates to beta 3.
I imported everything, but I only have 500 members and about 9000 posts (board is 1 month old). Worked fine after tweaking the importer. I think Rick fixed the importer, but not sure if the updated one is the one on the website now.
Anyway, hold off to at least beta 4.

We imported a classic and a threads into ubbdev - we have >13k users and ~300k posts. There are some bugs (we did it back at b1 I believe) but things are getting worked out

Beta 4 has been released for the private testers. If all goes well, everyone else will get it in the next couple of days.

I have 20t Members, 640t Posts, 140 forums and the importer works fine The import progress takes ~ 27 hours, but in comparison with the old yaml importer it is very very fast The sql db is a bit large ~1,2 GB, but with a own server no problem. Nice work

Interesting Did you have a lot of private messages? I have a client with ~20k members and 1.2million posts and his db is about 750mb. I think there's only 10k pm's tho.

actually the db is 704mb with 34k members, 4k pm's and 1.17million posts - it's 6.5.5 tho, maybe it will swell as it moves into v7
