Out of curiosity - why do you want to delete it?

Based on the comment, I would say no, don't delete it.

However, I did edit it and didn't see any immediate adverse side effects. But edit this at your own peril. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" /> It may cause problems!

I think that first line is what gives the language it's "name" to select it in your admin interface.

So if you delete that line - you might not be able to select it either in the admin menu and display prefs.

I think it's the "link" that ties all the language files of the same language together.

I wouldn't delete it if I were going to use that language.

If you weren't going to use the language, I'd "deactivate" the language from the admin menu first. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" />

</font><hr /></blockquote><font size="" face="">To keep things slick. Otherwise I end up with a 7.0 version with all kinds of outdated tags in the files.

Btw, the change files notes, does not mention the new faq.php, mycookies.php language files or tell us that the previous faq_somelanguage.php file is now obsolete. It would help if more care where taken updating these change logs <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="images/icons/wink.gif" />
