I had put in "no path" (i.e. empty) on install which gave errors when I tried to view a specific forum area. Error is - http://butterfly.bellaonline.com/{URL}/ubbthreads.php/ubb/cfrm So I went into the control panel and set it to /. Then I got this error - Notice: Undefined index: MAX_ADMIN_LOG_SIZE in E:\butterfly\admin\doeditconfig.php on line 60 That seemed to choke the admin area (having the slash). So I set the value to the full URL of http://butterfly.bellaonline.com. It still gives the same bad URL of http://butterfly.bellaonline.com/{URL}/ubbthreads.php/ubb/cfrm if I try to click on a given forum (say "low carb") from my main listing page.

I don't mean to push, but the entire new test forum is unusable until we get this fixed, so right now I can't test it out. None of the links work. What should I put in to get rid of that {URL} part? The threads are in the root directory of that website.

Sorry about missing this, the {URL} bit is a bug in the redirect script that redirects from your old forums to the new ones. On line 64 of the postlist.php redirect script you'll see where it has {URL}. That needs to be changed to {$URL}

Well, I think we're making progress. I made that change and set things back to working from the main level directory. I no longer get an error, but it always redirects back to http://butterfly.bellaonline.com/ubbthreads.php/ubb/cfrmno matter which forum link I click on. When I click on any right hand link for individual threads, it always pauses for a long period and then says page cannot be displayed. So for example this URL - http://butterfly.bellaonline.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=263674&Main=37947won't render. So our status at this point is still that we can see the forum main listing page, but cannot actually view any forum or any thread.

Ok, I think there is a bit of confusion somewhere. Either there is a mixed up path or the redirector scripts from the threads_import zip weren't used properly.
Basically when you click on the link to go into a threads it's getting stuck in some type of loop.
Is it possible for me to get FTP and admin access to your forum install so I can take a look at a few things?

Thank you very much, it appears I mis-read the importer instructions and moved the 3 files into the current directory, not the old one. If I mis-understood that readme, others might too - you might want the read me to say more explicitly that these go in the pre-7 directory to help redirect those visitors to these new forums.
Although that instruction confuses me a bit - my intention when I upgrade is to put these new forums *in place of* the existing forums. I wouldn't leave the old files or directories online ...? So I'm not sure how that would work.
In any case, my test forum is now actively working, and I have set all 300+ editors to the task of testing it out. I'll post separate threads as they find issues.
