Hopefully within the next couple weeks you'll be seeing some changes. Since we're closing in on the end of the beta cycle and will have the final of version 7 finished we'll be making some changes to UBBcentral.com. We'll be merging the main forums and these forums into one and rolling out a new website at the same time. We'll try to keep downtime to a minimum when we make these changes.

The problem is the main groupee home page appears to make no reference to this software - it is as if it doesn't exist!

Yes, the new website will be trimmed down quite a bit. We'll utilize the forums for more things like version history and such. eve.groupee.com is unchanged. www.groupee.com is now all about the new free Groupee Network.

display names??
If you are merging the forums, how are you handling display names?
Say a member here has the same name as someone on the other forums - what happens to the posts/names?

One of them gets marked as a duplicate. The display name gets a _dup1 added to it.

So you can merge forums?
If I do a full install for testing purposes, I can then import or merge the forums, etc. into version 7 from version 6?

Yes, the way the importers are written is you can import any time. For example, UBBdev.com. This is actually 2 forums merged together. First they imported their classic forums from the original ubbdev.com site, and then they imported the threads forums from the threadsdev.com site.

Yes, however any "duplicate" members will be named with "dup1", "dup2", etc... So I had: Gizzy_dup1 Gizzy Gizmo_dup1 Gizmo the user that beogns to the pm's needs to be updated, as well as threads; but it dden't seem too difficult for allen
