I am every once in a while having an h pop up top left of my header. I have checked the header file and it's not in there, it all so shows up on my other site that has no header. Problem besides the obvious display of the random h is when it does show, the font and everything gets larger. Any ideas on where it could be coming from? Here is the top of the source code h <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html dir="ltr"> <head>
<style type="text/css"> .popup_menu a, .popup_menu label { display: block; padding: 2px; cursor: pointer; } .ubbcode-pre { font-family: monospace; white-space: pre; } and when I refrsh the h disapears and everything returns back to normal

No both are running ubb.threads rc1. One we use just for testing.

Ok, hard to say. You'd need to isolate a pattern on what pages it shows up on and what ones it doesn't. That might help figure it out.

Hmm, have you hand edited any files? It's hard to say, but if it's showing in the control panel as well as other pages then it could be a variety of things. I'd say maybe something weird in the config file but if it was that it would seem that it would be showing on ALL pages. Any ideas what changes you made before this started popping up?

The only file I have edited was the header.tpl to add the who's online link. Before I over write any file I save the original ex: header_old.tpl and leave it there. I have restored the original one. It does show up on all pages, I just happen to be noticing it on those pages I mentioned because thats the pages I more on. I will start looking at the config files.

Mystery solved. After process of elimination of mods I did and restoring back to pristine copies we found the problem that I knew was on our end. I was waiting for the owner to get home to find what mods he did. He did a mod to the board stats to include the amount of posts made within the past 24 hrs. We found the straggled h in there. Must have dragged a finger or something over the keyboard. We have all done that before Thanks for your ideas & thoughts Rick, I was at a loss and I only knew what files I changed.
