some of my users are getting this message and are unable to post: it's not allowing me to post though, I get this message: We cannot proceed.

The host you are trying to send the input from is not a valid host.

Please use your back button to return to the previous page.

This is usually a firewall issue. When I encountered it, I had to adjust NIS (Norton Internet Security) to reveal "sites visited". Or you can go into your config settings and turn off the referrer check.

whats the referrer check all about, what does it do? why do i need it on and will worlds collide if i turn it off?

It's a form of added security. You could choose to run without it, and the world should remain relatively intact.

JC thanks. I found some documentation on how to fix this for all internet security type apps, firewall, etc etc so i think i'll just make a sticky of all that for my users instead of taking the option off. thanks a lot for your help though

What is the referrer check and what exactly will happen if I turn it off. I upgraded and now some cannot post messages.

Also, a related question related to the referrer check is in my Config file, the same referrer server url is listed twice separated by a "|" such as, http://duplicatelink.com|http://duplicatelink.com. Is this normal. Shouldn't listed it once be sufficient?
