A number of external avatars are not showing up. Example is my own. Is it an issue with special characters? My avatar is

http://www.tropictravelonline.com/g...u%20tell%20I%20loved%20the%20sunsets.jpg and this worked on the ubbclassic board but didn't work on the import

It very well could be the special characters. Not sure if the importer can handle those, but will take a look.

I tried to go add it back by hand, and it didn't work. A lot of the stuff that came over didn't have the avatars, but I didn't look for a pattern.

Looks like you decided not to fix this in RC1. Classic allowed the names, so I would not have expected something newer to remove functionality.

Can you post exactly what your avatar tries to link to after the import? I was able to change my avatar to the sunset picture in your original post on my test forum, so it's definitely an allowed avatar.

When I try to put it in now, it is http://www.tropictravelonline.com/g...u%20tell%20I%20loved%20the%20sunsets.jpg, and it just goes away, and it came over as blank, as well. Could it be the size I am allowing? What size are you allowing?

I think it's because the URL already has the spaces converted to %20. Try just putting it in like this:

Code
http://www.tropictravelonline.com/gallery/categories/Sandals_and_Beaches/Whitehouse/abctate 012006/media/can you tell I loved the sunsets.jpg

That worked on a new post.

I have not tried reimporting since I upgraded to rc1 because I didn't get the answer to whether I would now have member in 3 times. Do I need to start all over in a clean directory to get members just one time? Do we need to do this on each import?

Yes, you'd need to start over with a clean install. The importers are all written to import everything when ran, so if you run it with data already there you'll end up with duplicates.
