There must be a way for the admin or moderators to add users to the forums?

I have several folks I would like to add to a private forum without requiring that they add themselves.

do you mean that you'd like to register the new users? there's no way to do this via the control panel, but you can log out and use the new user feature to register them.

If I understand your statement, to put a bunch of folks into the database it must done individually?

That being so, to enroll members in batches requires that I visit the new features section of this forum and request that as a future enhancement!

FYI: a client had a free forum that now is migrating to UBB.Threads. He wishes to do this to avoid causing heartburn for his current users.

I suspect we can disable the email response requirement and add them individually, then turn it back on when finished.

yes, you could disable the email long enough to get your users registered. there's no way, within the board, to add your users to the database short of registering them via the newuser.php function. something that you might consider is hiring an outside developer (perhaps from ThreadsDev) to write a script you can run that will add your user entries to the database.
