I'm logging in as admin and trying to change on my user's passwords but whenever I do it I get the message that it was changed but then it doesnt work and when I go back to edit profile the password is the same as before I changed it.

You can't see the password when you edit, they are encrypted in the database using 1 way encryption - the password box will always contain a whole bunch of dots - they have no relation to the actual number of characters in the password. <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> So that's normal behavior.

One of the nice things about UBB Classic was that you could view the users password or just click to send it to them.

Is there any way to view the users passwords in Threads?

no but you can send them a "temporary" password if they forget theirs.

The reason for this is that UBB.threads uses the one-way MD5 hashing function in the database. There's no way to find out the original password from the hash alone.

I doubt it, that's incredibly insecure. That's why threads uses the encoding. If it's never visible, then your site can't be hacked and passwords comprimised.
