Hello,

I am wondering if the 6.4 version of threads is able to auto refresh the postings? (My clients are not too keen on hitting F5 every minute.)

I have found a few posts that suggest this feature but did not find it listed in the "version history" or "features" area.

Can anyone shed some light onto this for me.

Another question if I may: Has anyone created a split screen (using iframes perhaps?) so the user can watch the active posts (which hopefully refresh ever 5 seconds or so) but can still continue writing their posting?

If not, is it technically possible to modify the php code to do this?

I am evaluating whether this software is the best choice for our univeristy and need more information about the software.

It's not built in, but there is no reason why you can't stick a meta refresh into the top of that postlist page via the template editor in the control panel

Can it be done in a spilt screen fashion? It's a php script, anything CAN be done, sure. But the place to ask for it would be a site like threadsdev.com where code hacking and other modificatiosn is what they do.

I'd be careful of how often it refreshes. Low wait time will mean higher server load if you make this availalble to the general public.
