We are interested in being able to click on a link in the reply mail from a post that would automatically login you in the board and take you to the posting. We have a lot of people who cannot remember passwords.
Big Thanks

if they've chosen "Remember me on each visit." then they should be logged in automatically when visiting a link from an email... Other than that, there's no way to automatically log in multiple users via one common URL...

hmmm. i don't know how it would work... to my knowledge, the only way to log a user in via a URL is to pass their login information *through* that URL, in which case, one common URL wouldn't log each person in - not as their own identity anyway...
consider it requested - maybe our development team has another way.

Hi, Kate - As mentioned in an earlier thread, I still don't get logged on automatically. I even swtiched to Mozilla, in case it was somehow browser related, but that didn't change anything. So I still have to do those three extra clicks...any idea why? Tony

Do you have a firewall that could be preventing the log in?

no, haven't installed a firewall...bought one a while ago, but never got around to installing it.
I don't have a problem with the other sites that I'm registered with.
I actually started a thread on this 2 or 3 weeks ago, and in the end David D replied that groupee stlll a "work in progress", as I remember.

Tony - are you talking about this site? Or the feature request the original poster had?
If you're tlaking about this site, yes there was a post on ThreadsDev the other day about people still having groupee issue here. But groupee is unique to this site. The poster is talking about a link in emails - which would contain the password and allow an automatic login.

ah, thanks Josh...actually, it was on this site that I noticed that, when I received a notice of a posting in a favorite thread and clicked the link, it didn't log me in automatically, and it was a pain to login and find myself on the opening page if I wanted to respond to the post....I got the issue mixed up - Tony
