We are running Classic and Threads boards. People on our Classic board are experiencing problems logging in when they visit the Threads board.

I have solved this (personally) by deleting my cookies. The first few times I visited the new Threads board I had problems as well.

Any suggestions for alternate solutions? Some people don't want to delete cookies.

You may need to set a cookie path for your UBB.threads board, to avoid "cookie confusion."

Also, you have a limit of 20 cookies per domain, so your two boards (and any thing else you have running on your site) are probably competing for those 20 slots. Changing the cookie path for the UBB.threads board should alleviate that.

The boards are on 2 different domains.

How do you set a cookie path?

I found where to set the path under "Edit config settings" - can you suggest a directory - does it matter where you direct?

In the Admin panel, edit your config settings. In the Path & URL Settings section, you'll see an entry that start with "If you are using cookies you can specify a path as well...." That's where you would specify a path for the cookies. [] The path you specify is actually a URL path, from the domain root. So, if threads is in http://www.domain.com/forum/threads. Then you would set the cookiepath to /forum/threads. - Rick[/]

Note that by changing this it will log out everyone, since their cookies will no longer be valid. Other cookie-based settings will get reset as well.

I can't guarantee this will solve the problem, but it may help.

Do you have a suggestion as to what the directory should be?

Just a guess after looking at your site, it would probably be /ubbthreads.
