Are you entering the entire path to the uploads directory in the "Attachments Storage Directory" field and the full URL to the uploads directory in the field below?

does this sound right?
or can you tell by the above what i should have instead?

Are you on a server using DirectAdmin? Byt the path you posted it looks like you are. in which case something is missing
/home/your user name/domains/onlinemedsupport.com/public_html/ubbthreads/uploads /var/your user name/domains/onlinemedsupport.com/public_html/ubbthreads/uploads
is more like what I would expect to see.
you'll want to mimic what is set under Absolute PATH to Main Directory: in the DB paths & URLS section of your control panel.

This is what i have entered and tried many ways but still not working. Can someone look this over please?
Attachment Storage Directory: home/myusername/domains/onlinemedsupport.com/public_html/ubbthreads/uploads
(Click to test directory.) Full URL to Attachment Storage Directory: /var/my user name/domains/onlinemedsupport.com/public_html/ubbthreads/uploads
I have no idea what the VAR part should be? or what it stands for?

var is just a directory name. Don't get too hung up on what it means. It's just a name. Could be Fred, could be Alice, most commonly it's named var.
Ian, I have no idea who hosts it, don't know the domain name. <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

Opps, I take that back, I do see the domain name now.
threadslearner, this would have been a while ago had you put the domain name in your profile instead of our trying to guess.
home/myusername/domains/onlinemedsupport.com/public_html/ubbthreads/uploads
did you forget the / in front of home, or just leave it out of your post?
did you actually enter "myusername", or use your actual user name?
also /home is correct for each, not /var.

for the URL you want http://onlinemedsupport.com/ubbthreads/uploadsYou might want to read this from our documentation. I think it will help clear some of your confusion <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

David,
Thank you so very much for your help! and it is working now. I forgot the / infront of home and I had the url right at one time but kept changing it around trying to make it work.
I also changed my profile to include my site as i had not thought of it the way you said it before. Had it been there it would be easier to see.
Once again thank you!

excellent! Good luck with your new threads board.
Oh, and since I can read your mind... Either will work for the cron, but I prefer the perl scripts myself. Use whichever makes you most comfortable <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
