Is there anyway I can remove administrator status for a couple of members without a PM being sent out to anyone???

You could edit the database... In the Users table, locate the user and edit their record. Change the U_Status field from "Administrator" to "User".

Oh - one more thing: you'll need to remove them from the group as well.

Also, in 6.5, PMs are no longer sent out for admin functions.

If I understand you correctly, if I demote a moderator or adminsistrator......Then NO one will know it except me....as the remaining administrator....Is that correct??
I want to get this correct, because I don't want to be wearing egg on my face when I demote a few people.
