UBB.threads PHP Forum Software Community Forums UBB.threads 6 Version 6 Support config.inc.php permission error

When using the control panel to make general changes in the display options I get a config.inc.php "is not writable". I have the includes directory set at 775 and the config.inc.php set at 774.

Is this correct or what should the permission be to?

The actual files need to be writable. Try setting them to 666.

I set the config.inc.php to 666, the includes dirctory to 777 and the ubbsthreads directory to 777 and still get the same error.

is there a bug in the code?

It sounds like you are running on a Unix/Linux server. Correct? Or is it a mixed Unix & Windows environment?

I ask because the only time we've seen this problem before was with mixed environment (Windows 2003 Server w/ Apache).

Looks like you've tried everything, you might want to open a ticket so that infopop can look at it personally. Reference this thread in your ticket.

Have you tried setting the config.inc.php to 777 ?
